1. What are the future plans of LIEDA?
Embarking on a transformative journey, LIEDA envisions a digitalized and more visible future through strategic marketing and advertisement initiatives. Infrastructure development of Hub SEZ takes center stage, with private investments on a BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, Transfer) basis fueling progress. LIEDA is actively engaged in securing gas quota from the Government of Balochistan (GoB) and Board of Investment (BOI) for Hub SEZ. A power project, leveraging foreign investment in solar/hybrid technologies, is on the horizon to meet the growing energy demands. Additionally, there is a dedicated focus on reviving sick/closed industrial units, breathing new life into dormant economic assets.
2. How many industries are currently operational in HITE?
HITE stands as a triumphant chapter in LIEDA’s success story. With 247 industries established within the industrial estate, a robust 154 large, medium, and small industries are presently in operation. This industrious hub is generating 30,000 direct employment opportunities and an impressive 150,000 indirect employment opportunities, showcasing the dynamic economic ecosystem within.

LIEDA is committed to smoothing the path for investors by streamlining essential services. The organization procures electricity and water in bulk, seamlessly providing utility connections under the umbrella of ONE WINDOW FACILITATION. This simplified approach, coupled with LIEDA’s established distribution systems, ensures that investors can conduct their business operations with utmost ease and efficiency.
4. Tell us about the Marble City Project.
The Marble City Project, inaugurated in 2004, is a testament to the promotion of Baluchistan’s rich stone resources on an international stage. This city has evolved into a project of global significance. Robust infrastructure, including roads, water supply, and electricity, has been meticulously integrated into the city. Currently, 49 units are actively contributing to production, while many others are in process of construction & installation of machinery etc.
